Being a councillor is a tough job, but I must say that getting into council is a even tougher task to handle. As least I should be relieved that I don't have to think of a good campaign theme and write a 30 sec speech on it.
We listened to all the campaign speeches from those future coucillors of BB house today and I must say that the 1hr spent seating in LT1 was the most boring time I've ever had (excluding the NE lunch talk held in RI last time). No offence, but I must say that I found most of the campaign speeches rather pathetic.
The problem with most of the groups is that there is a lack of coordination. As the adage goes "too many cooks will spoil the broth". Maybe working in a group for campaign is not a good thing to do. Recalling the days in RI, I don't really remember anyone's speech being able to drive me to sleep in like 2mins (of course excluding the principle's talks). That's because the campaigners in RI were all doing solo and hence, they are able to focus on the theme of the campaign speech well (such as JMX, 999, Chee Bang etc.) But as a group, it is hard for the whole team to stay focused.
I think the best 2 speeches I've heard in that 1 hr belong to Yewei's group and Kovan's group. For Yewei's group, I must say that they worked and cooperated well although I did not understand some parts of the speech (such as Junwei jumping around like a dinosaur?) Kovan's group did a nice job showing the pankémon MV and Kovan's guitar skill is really not bad (wonder where he get the guitar score for pokémon theme song).
