Unbelievable. Simply pure insanity. Man U pwnzed AS Roma 7-1??? I watched the first half of the match and I must say that the final outcome of this match was rather unexpected. For the first 10 mins, the match was more or less even with AS Roma having more chances than Man U. But at the 11 min, this completely changed. Carrick somehow managed to kick the ball at the goalkeeper by distorting his ankle coz his first touch of the ball was lousy. I'm not sure whether it was intended or the ball simply hit the wrong part of his feet, the ball just flew in the shape of a beautiful parabola with the equation of y=(1/5)x^2 (ok lah, I know there is drag force so it can't be a parabola). The goalkeeper of Roma was simply stunned by the brilliance of this shot that he just watched the ball zooming past him into the net. Roma was shattered by this goal and went for Man U's goal at full force. However, Man U showed their superiority at speed and 1 touch soccer and took this opportunity to beat Roma flat. First half score: Man U 4-0 AS Roma.
The funny thing is that today when I was reading "Newpaper", the critic only gave Rio Ferdinand 6/10. The reason? Quote from "Newpaper", "Rio Ferdinard to the direct reason for De Rossi's goal. He should not feel too relax even when the team is leading by 6 goals." Lol. 6 goals and you should not feel relaxed??
Anyway, today is a rather fun day. Played basketball with Darren, Rong Bing, Ling Zhang, Jordan, Cheese, and 2 random guys. We, the 6M guys + 1 random guy who is Darren's friend vs Zhang, Jord, Cheese and another random guy who was the owner of the ball. I am glad to say that we owned them coz they lacked communication. One moment they were doing zone defence and the next moment, they are using man to man. End result: Cheese who was 1 head shorter than me was fighting with me for rebound. Obviously I koped a rather lot of rebounds and undernet baskets.
After the refreshing game of basketball, we went to play bridge while cooling down. Zhang and I teamed up against Rong Bing and Jordan(who didn't know how to play contract bridge). We rather bullied them until Yicong came and team with me. Jord then left for volleyball training and Zhang took over his position. Hmm, Yicong and I managed to win our first (or 2nd) match together by downing Zhang and Rong Bing 2.
Not a bad day, but I must do homework now. Sigh!
