Mentally exhausting. That's the 2 perfect words to describe the band exco selection held yesterday. After going through the interview with RIMB 1 3/4 years ago, I didn't think that the exco interview can be so exhausting for the brain.
To know why the interview was so difficult, one must first know the kind of questions they ask. Give you a classic example. During the BM, ABM interview, the following question was asked.
Han Xin: "Han Xin and Qian Ye callipygian?"
Interviewee: "Yes?"
If one's vocabulary is rather limited (like mine), one will probably not know the meaning of callipygian and hence, a politically correct answer will be yes.
After knowing these kind of weird questions being asked, one will probably feel nervous before the interview. Hence, I started pacing up and down the corridor while Chester was watching an episode of bleach while Paul was imitating the voices of the bleach characters. After a while, Paul started singing "Touch my sexy back!" while Wen Chong continued the song singing "Oh, I will touch it now" in the tune of Sexyback chorus.
After a long anticipation, it was my turn for the interview. I must say that the questions weren't that bad. The only one that I had no idea of how to answer was "How many tuners are there in the band?". Randomly, I said the first number that came to my mind "Eight". Eight must have very high entropy value.
The interview with the teachers were rather relaxing as they were joking a lot while having the interview and the atmosphere was relatively relaxing. However, the chances of me getting the QM position is rather slim as there is the Cheese who sure will get the position and Charlene who is very popular. God bless me!!!
P.S Callipygian means having a shapely bottom. The perfect answer for that question was "Han Xin has but Qian Ye don't"
