I must confess that basketball is a dangerous sport, especially when you are playing centre and trying to snatch rebound with another guy who is using all his force to push you away.
Recounting this year, I had been injured countless number of times while playing basketball. These injuries range from a small scratch on the hand (masterpiece by those who use the unorthodox skill of "九阴白骨爪") to twisting fingers. But none of these injuries is as bad as the one I suffered yesterday, after landing on the side of my foot. Yes, you are right. I twisted my ankle.
For those who never twist your ankle before, I will try my best to describe to you the agony of it. I feels like having a vein which keeps on popping in and out every time you try to twist your foot. However, if you don't twist your foot, you will feel this bulge at your ankle which is very uncomfortable. If you can't suppress your impulse to twist your foot and you really twist it, you will feel this sharp pain which will definitely cause you to drop on the ground and writhe in pain.
Yesterday, my foot was still not hurting that badly after applying some ice. But this morning when I woke up, my ankle was swollen. But lucky for me, it's saturday so I can slack at home.
Bad things aside, there is 5 day break next week. WOOT! Class chalet on Wed and Thurs. Looking forward to that
