After 365 days of anticipation, I am finally 17. Yay!
This year's birthday was much more interesting than last year's. I still remember the eventful day last year when my birthday fall on the same day as 3rd language EOY. So after the Teacher's Day Celebrations, Su Jun and Nicky went to my house and played some dota. Then, we had to rush off to take our French EOY. After the test ended at 5 plus, I went home and rushed for my piano lesson which was at 7 and returned home only at 9. This cause me not to have any dinner at all. The only thing that I ate that evening was a slice of my birthday cake.
This year, I invited about 15 people for my birthday celebrations and we went pooling and lanning. The sad thing is that I got completely owned in pool. At first, I was unlucky enough to choose the table with Peng Di on the opponent team and he just simply cleared half the table with one ball. After a few rounds of complete thrashing, I decided to swap to the table with slightly lower standard. So, it was Wentao, Ling Zhang and I vs Dehui, Wen Di and Jordan. Then this Wentao go and anyhow take free balls and ended up missing the free frag completely, giving the opponent a free ball. Then, my final slice of the black ball hit the sides of the pocket and never go in. So, this Jordan just ksed my black ball. Sadness.
Lanning was fun, especially because I got quite good heros for both matches, although Ling Zhang owned me in the first game. But then, I swapped to Ling Zhang's team because Gabriel had to book a place for dinner. So we Ling Zhang, Jordan and I 3v4 against Rong Bing, Dehui, Wen Di and Wentao. Our team is too imba and we ended their misery in 40 mins, which is considered relatively short for a dota game. However, something unfortunate happened. Jordan lost his wallet at the lan centre. We searched for it for 10 mins but could not find it, so we just gave up.
We ate dinner at Cafe Cartel, which caused the girls not being able to finish their meal as Cafe Cartel serve gigantic portions of food. Rong Bing and I completed a daunting task of finishing a meal for 3 people (with some help from Yedi) and we were completely bloated, although Rong Bing still went for this serving of the salad. In the end, we had this heap of unfinished ribs as all the girls ordered ribs. So, we saw the food devourer -- Gabriel at work. He seemed to ate up all the ribs with ease when the rest of us will vomit if we eat anymore. His metabolism rate must be astonishing. Haha.
After dinner, we went to the arcade, which everyone went to tryout the drummania machine. However, even though we had 5 people to play the thing and everyone was in charge of 1 drum, we still could not survive the 2nd stage of the standard mode. Maybe too many cooks will spoil the broth? Anyway, Rong Bing whacked the drum so hard that the rubber cover came out. Lol. What inhuman strength.
Lastly, I would like to thank everyone who came for the pool, lan, dinner etc. and also for the presents. The presents really rock. However, the massager got koped by my parents because they think they need it more than me. Haha.
