After a storm, comes a calm. This proverb can't be more straight to the point. As H3 final examination and A Tempo XIX come to an end, I should feel a sense of relief. However, the most significant feeling that I have now is that of emptiness, as if there is a void somewhere deep in my heart.
Perhaps it is the realisation that I do not have to travel to TJC/VJC twice a week or attend band prac twice a week anymore. Or perhaps it is the cruel truth that there is no more distractions to hinder my hardcore mugging schedule (no more excuses).
Anyway, both events are sort of successful. A Tempo was quite good although we made certain minor slips and mistake (like Huan Bin tripping over), and the fact that all these mishappenings are recorded in HD. But everyone went high towards the end, especially at Takarajima. Ziluo actually got so high that he hit his finger against the bell and cracked his fingernail. Most people praised us which made us quite happy. In my own opinion, I think we sounded better than CO. Haha. No offense to CO people.
H3 was easier than I thought. Although somehow my eyes managed to miss an important equation that was printed in the notes known as the Nerst equation. That one equation cost me 5 marks. GG! But I think I should be able to pass, and hopefully a distinction. The only problem with the test is that it's too long. It was freaking 3 hours long. I was foaming by the 3rd hour and had to entertain myself using the old tactic -- play with G.C. And it is not like GC is very fun to play with.
And yesterday was class BBQ. Darren produced so much food that it was an insurmontable task for us to finish it. There were chicken wings, sotong, prawns, satays, fishballs, fried dumplings, rice cakes and not to forget 2 gigantic bowls of bee hoon. However, with the help of Jabez, we managed to devour most of the food. Then we played all kinds of games such as carom, bridge chess, uno etc. And of course, we watch Goals of the Season. I was rather disappointed that most of the best goals are far range shots, and there were only a few nice build-ups and pro dribbling (most of those nice ones come from Torres). Went to at 11.30 to catch the last bus. Poor Jabez could never catch his train home to Tampines. Luckily there was the always helpful Sai Meng to send him home by car.
